Lisa Hannon, Director

Biography

Mrs. Hannon is a Cherokee County native and a product of Cherokee County Schools. She has an Education Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision and a Master of Elementary Education from Converse College. She also has a Bachelor of Elementary Education from Limestone College.

She taught in the Cherokee County Adult Education Program for 18 years before becoming Director of Tri-District Adult Education in York County. Mrs. Hannon returned to Cherokee County as Director of the Adult/Community Education Program located at the Limestone Community Learning Center in 2006.

In 2006, she was Adult Education Rookie Director of the year and also inducted into the Adult Education Hall of Fame for 15 years of service.

In 1998-99 she was South Carolina Adult Education Teacher of the Year and the National Adult Education Teacher of the Year.

She is member of the Cherokee County Reading Council, South Carolina Association of School Administrators, South Carolina Association of Adult and Community Education, Commission on Adult and Basic Education, South Carolina Education Association and the National Educators Association.
