COVID-19 District Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Like many other districts and our community as a whole, Cherokee County School District is experiencing a large number of COVID-19 cases among students and staff.  As a result, our District is facing critical operational shortages. To address these staffing shortages, we have made the difficult decision to transition to eLearning instruction for all students on Thursday, January 13th and Friday, January 14th.  In addition, B.D. Lee Elementary School will begin eLearning instruction on Wednesday, January 12th. This change in our schedule will allow our students to continue instruction while remaining safe and healthy. eLearning instructions will be communicated from each school location. This closure does not affect students who are dually enrolled in courses with Limestone University and Spartanburg Community College. All school activities will be cancelled on these dates as well.

As a reminder, Monday, January 17th is a holiday for all students and staff in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Thank you for your continued support.
