Department of Information Technology
The Cherokee County School District Information Technology department provides help and support for all those who use any of the district supported systems or processes. This includes all software systems and related hardware as well as Internet web-based software applications.
In addition to support, the technology department provides technology training opportunities. These opportunities include specially scheduled training both at the district level and schools. The technology department offers a wide array of training courses for teachers, classified staff or administrators.
On the innovative side of technology, the department also conducts software and system development, web programming and network engineering. From here, the district is kept at the leading edge of technology solutions for education.
For research and development in classroom technology integration, the technology integration group works to identify and implement contemporary solutions for modernizing teaching and learning.
